EMAAR participates in Dubai International Arabian Race Day Exhibition in UK
Arabian Ranches and Burj Dubai to be showcased
EMAAR Properties, the leading property developer in the UAE, will be participating in the acclaimed Dubai International Arabian Race Day Exhibition. The event is taking place at Newbury Racecourse in the UK from July 18 to 20, 2003.
The exhibition, which is sponsored by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry, is being organised to raise awareness of the growing importance of Dubai and the UAE as a lifestyle hub of the Middle East.
To mark its debut at the exhibition, EMAAR will introduce Arabian Ranches, the world-class equestrian themed development, and Burj Dubai, set to be the tallest skyscraper in the world, to the British and international equine community.
Commenting on the company's participation, Mr. Mansour Al Othaimin, Corporate Director, Sales and Marketing, EMAAR Properties, said: "The United Kingdom represents a key market for us. A considerable percentage of our investors comprise foreign expatriates from the UK and other neighbouring European countries. This exhibition provides us with an ideal platform to showcase two of our world-class projects, Arabian Ranches and Burj Dubai, and the distinctive lifestyles on offer to our international customers."
Arabian Ranches combines a desert resort with a world class golf course, equestrian centre and polo ground, a five star resort and luxurious villas in the development. The Arabian Ranches Equine Centre will be the only facility of its kind in the region to combine high quality community living with horse riding, polo, dressage and show jumping.

This upscale residential community is within easy reach of the central business districts of Dubai and 15 minutes away from Jumeirah beach and a multitude of five star hotels.
The second development on display, Burj Dubai, will create a new architectural landmark in what is one of the region's most dynamic cities. The landmark tower will be the centrepiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development, which will combine residential, commercial, hotel, entertainment and leisure outlets with open green spaces, water features, pedestrian boulevards, old town and one of the world's largest shopping malls.
Upon completion, the Burj Dubai, which is designed by Chicago-based Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will surpass the height of the 452 meter Petronas Towers in Malaysia and the recently announced 492 meter Shanghai World Financial Centre.
In a bid to promote Dubai as a tourist destination to the UK, several Dubai-based companies will also be exhibiting in the 300 square metre exhibition area. Amongst these will be Emirates, the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Civil Aviation and Dnata.
Visitors of the EMAAR stand will have the opportunity to win a new car. The lucky winner will be announced on the last day of the exhibition.
The Arabian race day boasts a prize fund of GBP51,000 and is sponsored by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
