Dubai Transport has come a long way since it first started with a fleet of 81 taxis. Over 2,000 gleaming new taxis transporting over 1.7 million passengers every month, more than 4,000 committed staff members and an infrastructure that’s second to none have made Dubai Transport the pride of the city. The Corporation has also undertaken a massive project to establish its new headquarters station. The entire facility is self sufficient, state-of-the-art and has been designed in a way to accommodate all future expansions.

Dubai Transport and Franchising Companies a True Partnership

Dubai Transport Corporation reached a new stepping stone when it signed a franchising agreement allowing "Cars" company to operate its own taxi fleet. Such an agreement was a clear indication of the Corporation’s willingness to open the taxi market in Dubai and allow the participation of other companies rather than work a monopoly for its own benefit.

Board of Directors

The Dubai Transport Corporation is headed by a Board of Directors who is responsible for all the management decision and the set up of the vision and policy implementation at the corporation.

The Board is chaired by H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Sharid. Mr. Abduallah Fadel Al Mazoui is vice chairman of the Board, which also includes in its membership Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Rafei, Abdullah bin Hafiz and Abdul Aziz Malik.

Mr. Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, Director-General of Dubai Transport Corporation is reporting directly to the Board of Directors and ensures the implementation of policies and directives issued by the Board.
