Al Hanem - mega yacht to set sail in Dubai
Dubai is very soon going to add another feather to its cap. The biggest yacht is being constructed in Dubai at the Al Jadaf shipyard. The yacht is believed to measure 52 metres, and weigh 626 tonnes. It will house six guest cabins coupled with a gym and a Jacuzzi.The mega yacht is named Al Hanem and boasts of luxury and comfort. Work is still going on to give the yacht a final go before it sails into the sea. Al Hanem has three enclosed levels which includes six guest cabins, a gym, two indoor sitting rooms, tow outdoor lounges and an outdoor and indoor sitting room and a sky deck.
“We’ve got four to five months’ work left,” says Matt Glover, marine chief engineer of Romeo Design and designer of Al Hanem designer. “We’re planning to unveil her in November or December.
Talking about the advantages of constructing the yacht in Dubai, Glover said “Constructing the mega yacht in Dubai is cost-effective. Taxes on the materials and equipment are low, and there is no need to pay any VAT (value-added tax) on any of the parts. “This means the customer saves a lot”, stressed Glover. “It would cost them 25 per cent less than if they bought it in the UK or Europe,” he says.
