Support Lebanon, a campaign launched by the Lebanese Business Council of Dubai and Northern Emirates in response to the unfortunate events in Lebanon. This is an effort to bring together all the residents in the UAE to receive, categorize, wrap and pack donations and relief goods, which would be sent to the victims of the recent bombings in Lebanon. The relief goods like medicines, food, baby products and baby milk are sent across to incite hope where there is misery and smiles where there are tears.Extending a helping hand for the campaign, the Dubai International School opened its doors for the Lebanese Business council of Dubai and Northern Emirates, allowing sufficient space to carry out the relief goods collection process. Since its launch, the rooms that were specially prepared for this event was a bee hive of enthusiastic volunteers from different Arab and foreign nations. The number of volunteers has seen a steady increase as the campaign picks up speed in its humanitarian activities.
The number of volunteers is now approximately 100, constituting different nationalities who are divided into groups led by a professional. The national unity amongst fellow countrymen has taken on a new meaning and it is portrayed beautifully in the passion shown by the volunteers. It is this drive for international harmony that will be the main key in bringing hope to the adults and children of Lebanon, despite their terrible misfortune. This campaign has been a great humanitarian achievement of this day and age and this is a clear proof of the modern harmony shown by all Arab people in a situation of disaster.
