DSMG representative’s from different malls across Dubai work as a team to represent the industry at various forums and to the government. Meetings and forums to promote idea-exchange and disseminate knowledge are a monthly affair. The Group also plans and implements joint marketing efforts to increase footfall and sales in member malls.

Under the auspices of the Dubai Economic Department the Shopping Malls have been grouped together to synergize marketing initiatives and provide better quality services to the visiting shoppers in the malls. There are 35 Malls within this group (DSMG).

Membership Information
Any organisation that operates a Shopping Mall in Dubai under license from the Department of Economic Development is eligible to apply for membership.

  International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is the global trade association of the shopping center industry. As the global industry trade association, ICSC links with more than 25 national and regional shopping center councils throughout the world. The principle aims of ICSC are to advance the development of the shopping center industry and to establish the individual shopping center as a major institution in the community.


• The Middle East Council of Shopping Centres
  
  The Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) is the regional body representing shopping mall owners, developers, marketing managers, leasing managers and specialists, retailers, consultants, property managers, financiers, accountants, government officials and industry suppliers. The MECSC has been operating in the Middle East since 1994 and has hundreds of active members. MECSC is a voluntary body, governed by a Board and Executive Committee.
