Yet today, less than 1% of global initiatives are seaboard focused. Blue Communities will bring a spotlight to this vital global issue for the first time. Launched by Nakheel, one of Dubai’s leading enterprises, it is a call to action for the world.
Blue Communities will provide a platform for everyone who cares about our seas and coastlines. It will engage experts and bring together individuals, academics, NGOs, scientific bodies and legislators to work together. It will engage exactly the right experts to start defining standards and guidelines for coastal development.
Blue Thinking is about cleaner water and less pollution within coastal communities.
