Redbull Creativity Contest
An inspiration comes in a can as Redbull drink revitalizes the body and the mind and gives you wings to fly. This is your chance to fly for an energetic long weekend to Paris, Rome, London, or Saltzburg as Redbull is looking for the most imaginative works of art that can be created out of the now famous blue and silver can.This contest is open to everyone, from fulltime artists to simply those with a creative flare. There are no rules or boundaries other than the limits of the artist’s imagination and talent. Use the can with a little inspiration and some imagination to conceive a work of art that is a sculpture, a collage, piece of jewellery, a mobile, a piece of furniture, fashion accessory or something that no one has thought of before. One can use any material and work in any media. There is no limit to the no of cans that you can use and you can choose to use the can itself or not and can be sent to the Redbull office in Dubai.
The status of your piece of art will be informed to you in one month from your time of submission. A panel of three prestigious judges has been chosen and the works of art will be judged on creativity, conceptual idea and artistic standard. Potential applicants have just over three months to conceive their idea and submit it to the organisers. The organisers will then shortlist the entrants qualified to participate in “The Art of Can” exhibition which will be held in Dubai from December 7th to 22nd, 2006. The top winners will be announced at the exhibition’s premiere and incase you are chosen as the winner then your work of art will be exhibited in different venues across GCC and the Middleeast region and you will be informed about the same.
