iZone
iZone is Etisalat’s brand name for Wireless Internet. iZone (also known as a Hotspot) is a specific location in which wireless access points provide public Internet broadband service to mobile users/visitors. These Hotspots are often located in high traffic areas such as shopping centers, airports, coffee shops, exhibitions halls, conventions & business centers, and hotels’ lobbies.iZone is available in selected venues. Etisalat have installed the following in order to make iZone available at your location:
A high speed Internet Link
Wireless Access Points
Antennas
The customer needs a Wireless enabled device. This Wireless device could be:
Laptop with an Intel Centrino chip
Laptop with a WiFi card
A PDA which has built in WiFi Nokia 9500
The customer needs to turn on his WiFi reception (some devices automatically detect Wireless Access Points.
The customer needs to connect to the “ETISALAT” SSID (which is the name of the WiFi location). Once connected, the customer should open his browser, he will automatically get the iZone page where he can now login.
There are a number of ways a customer can login, these are:
