Dubai Bikeweek 2006
Dubai Bikeweek, now in its second edition, is a coming together of individuals with a common passion: motorcycles.Regardless of brand and model, Dubai Bikeweek is an open festival bringing together motorcycle riders and their families for a social, carnival type event with bike games, bike shows, bike entertainment and a variety of musical entertainment to top it all off.
At least 350 motorcycle riders of various models and brands are expected, with people flying in from countries (as they have in 2005) such as Thailand, Germany, Austria, North America, Canada and Russia, not to mention non-riding spectators of the mentioned shows.
Unlike conventional rallies, the Dubai Bikeweek does not comprise of races. The sole purpose of this event is to enjoy the thrill of riding a motorcycle in its purest form.
Even for non-bike enthusiasts, the sight and sound of hundreds of customised motorbikes is a memorable experience and the atmosphere surrounding these passionate Bikers is just simply contagious.
The Dubai Bikeweek 2006 will once again be based at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), adjacent to the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi hotel.
This year’s Bikeweek HQ will be in the Race Centre building, decorated and adapted to suit the functions required, such as main information and registration point, Bike Garden venue, multiple functions venue, private Bikeweek hospitality facilities, product displays and storage facilities.
The Bikeweek HQ will offer both participants and visitors a one-stop solution for all matters relating to the event.
It will also host the Bike Garden - a sort of ’base camp’ for Bikeweek participants, visitors and spectators alike - offering a variety of food and beverage outlets, seating and picnic areas.
