Financial Markets update for 20 July
Both UAE market indicies finished in positive territory today. The DFM was up 0.40% and the ADX up 0.93%. The value of shares traded on both markets was well below the one billion dirham level.On the DFM, new listing TAKAFUL-EM closed at 4.46 dirham a rise of 3.46 dirham from the float price on turnover of 40 million shares.
On the ADX, METHAQ was the the top share traded rising 0.76% to 7.96 dirham on turnover of 22 million shares.

Dubai Financial Market
The DFM index closed at 5,243 a rise of 0.40% from the previous close. 229 million shares were traded worth 763 million dirhams. Fifteen shares advanced and twelve declined.
The top traded share was AIRARABIA, rising 3.92% to 1.59 dirhams on turnover of 90 million shares.
New listing TAKAFUL-EM was also heavily traded rising from 1 dirham to 4.46 dirhams at close on turnover of 40 million shares.
Other shares to rise included: GULFNAV 1.61 (4.54%), Dubai Investments (DIC) 3.69 (1.37%) and DFM 4.58 (0.88%).
Shares to fall included: AJMANBANK 3.25 (2.69%), Emaar Properties (EMAAR) 10.00 (0.49%), IAIAC 2.73 (2.15%) and Tabreed (TABREED) 2.21 (0.89%).
Abu Dhabi Securities Market
The ADX index closed at 4,935 a rise of 0.93% from the previous close. 99 million shares were traded worth 655 million dirhams. Twenty shares advanced and thirteen declined.
The top traded share was METHAQ rising 0.76% to 7.96 dirhams on turnover of 22 million shares.
Other shares to rise included: First Gulf Bank (FGB) 27.40 (0.18%), SIB 2.97 (1.02%), Aldar Properties (ALDAR) 11.65 (1.30%), Dana Gas (DANA) 1.82 (1.11%) and Etisalat (ETISALAT) 20.10 (2.03%).
Shares to fall included: Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) 8.80 (0.79%), Aabar Petroleum (AABAR) 4.51 (2.38%), AGTHIA 2.71 (1.81%) and RAK Cement (RAKCC) 3.60 (0.28%).
