Social Responsibility Fund
The Social Responsibility Fund was established by the Cabinet Ministers in 2006 to fund and support social projects in the UAE as well as encourage and direct corporation towards community participation.The Social Responsibility Fund brings the government and private sectors together to work towards facilitating and encouraging greater public participation in social projects and development efforts.
In the wider economic world, social responsibility has become one of the criteria used by the business community to evaluate corporate performance. Social responsibility has close links to the long-term sustainability and success of corporations. In spite of it being a relatively recent concept, companies across the world have integrated social responsibility into their business. This concept has also facilitated and promoted partnerships between various sections of society.
Social Responsibility Fund is committed to ensuring that the organization behaves in all respects to proper ethical, professional and legal standards.
Some of the duties of Social Responsibility fund is to
• To support and finance the social welfare and development projects and programs assumed by the centers, institutions and associations
• To develop their capacities and human resources to enable them rely on themselves and to manage their programs efficiently and competently.
• To encourage and support the governmental and nongovernmental entities.
• To coordinate with authorities in order to prepare the training and qualification programs for the individuals.
• To support and finance the studies and researches with a view to determine the social promotion services and the developmental projects needed by communities
• To prepare and qualify the cadres working in the field of the social promotion and development through organizing and financing the training courses and the qualification programs.
• To determine the social services and the institutions needed by the society .
The Goal of SR fund is to Increase the movement of students with disability out of homes, schools and centers and into employment through technical assistance and new model program development and to create new providers of service
