Gulf For Good
Gulf for Good is a Dubai based charity under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. By taking part in a Gulf for Good adventure challenge, participants raise funds which are then donated to handpicked charities in the region where the challenge is held.The challenges available are a mixture of moderate to strenuous adventures, ranging from high altitude treks to hiking, biking, kayaking and even camel trekking in magnificant landscapes. These challenges allow you to access areas you may only dreamed of visiting, in the company of like-minded individuals.
The Charities
Gulf for Good challenges raise funds for deserving causes, in the areas where individual challenges take place.
Our policy is not simply to hand out money, but rather to identify important and well thought-out projects that will use the funds wisely. Where necessary, we work closely with other charities to ensure that:
money is properly allocated and spent; and
no future misuse is made of anything paid for by G4G
No money raised by challenge participants goes to G4G’s administration, which is funded solely by challenge deposits and Official Sponsors. Approximately one-third of funds raised pays individual challenge costs, and the balance goes to the relevant "good cause". All expenditures are approved and monitored by the Charity’s accountants, auditors and Board of Governors.
