14 September 2009. The DFM fell 1.8% to 1993 points from turnover of AED 559m. On the Nasdaq Dubai at 15:15 UAE time, DP World is down 3.4%, Depa is unchanged, and DGS is up 0.97%.The ADX fell 0.78% to 2994 points from turnover of AED 200m.

Emaar Properties (EMAAR) trading of AED 286m was worth more than half the total in Dubai, and their shares fell 3.8% to 3.84, almost the worst fall. No other stocks traded more than AED 100m. Al Firdous Holdings (ALFIRDOUS) was 10% limit down from a single small trade, Shuaa Capital (SHUAA) was the worst of the more actively traded stocks with a 4.1% fall to 1.87, Arab International Logistics (ARMX) fell 3.5%, Gulf Navigation (GULFNAV) 2.6%, Deyaar Development (DEYAAR), Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), and Al Salam Bank Sudan (ALSALAMSUDAN) 2.5%, and almost all other stocks were down less than 2.5% or unchanged. Drake & Scull (DSI) closed flat, with substantial insider buying probably helping it to avoid closing in the red.
Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU), up 0.71%, and Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), up 2.05% from just one trade, were the only two gainers in Dubai.
Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange
Aldar Properties (ALDAR) was the most actively traded stock in Abu Dhabi, falling 2.4% to 5.35 from AED 62m worth of deals. Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) was the worst of the more active losers, falling 3.1%, Al Khazna Insurance (AKIC) fell 5.0% on greater than usual turnover, Ras Al Khaimah Properties (RAKPROP) and Dana Gas (DANA) were down 2.6%, Agthia Group (AGTHIA) 2.4%, Green Crescent Insurance (GCIC) 2.3%, and most other stocks were down less than 2%. First Gulf Bank (FGB) was flat at 15.85, and Emirates Driving Company (DRIVE) at 4.00 from much greater than usual volumes.
There were 7 gainers, none trading more than AED 1m, and only Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADAVIATION) saw trading of more than AED 100k, rising 5.9%. Fujairah Building Industries (FBICO) was the best gainer, closing 10% limit up from 1 small trade.
