Alter Energy ‘09 is a conference-led event being held from 27-29 October at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre where international experts, regional decision-makers and premier suppliers of green technology and renewable energy infrastructure meet and debate the relative merits of alternative energies versus conventional energies and more importantly, how they can partner together to satisfy future energy demand for the growing world population, whilst minimizing the environmental impact.Fossil Fuel, Electricity, Alternative and Renewable Energy, Biomass and Carbon-Neutral Fuel, Greenhouse Gases, Climate Change, the Water Footprint, the Environment and the Ecosystem are all words and terms we hear every day but what are we doing about it?
Alter Energy ’09 is for those who want to make a difference. Leaders around the world are determined on developing and implementing the use of alternative ener-gies as a way of reducing our dependence and use of conventional energy sources with the intent of reducing its impact on climate change. The necessity to carry this message to households has never been more acute in consideration that some of the GCC nations record the highest CO2 emissions in the world.
Informing and educating our community on the hazardous impact of our contribu-tion to the carbon and water footprint is critical.
The development and use of alternative energy sources is one way of contributing to the management of what is heading to be a catastrophic future in environmental terms. Reducing household and industrial power and water consumption through the effective use of technology and government policy can also go a long way in ensuring a sustainable future.
