Tennis Emirates Strategy 2009/10
TENNIS EMIRATES, governing body of all tennis activities in the UAE, has launched its new strategy to develop the game on all levels. Current activities include the participation and organization of international and national competitions, international and national tournaments, national leagues.National ranking system, membership program, grass root development programs, school tennis, special needs programs, coaches and officials development trainings, ball kids programs, certification courses, and much more.
Based on the direction of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the strategy of the UAE National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Welfare:
-Focus on performance sports to enhance Davis Cup and Fed Cup participation
-Creation of a national training center to host activities
-Introduction of an official national tennis ranking for junior and adults
-TENNIS EMIRATES Membership program for affiliations, players and officials
-Creation of national ball kids training programs
-Introduction of Play & Stay grass root programs and ITF Tennis Ten’s (mini tennis)
-Implement a governing marketing program to attract national partners to assist in the development of the overall tennis development in the UAE.

TE VISION:
To become the most professional and best managed tennis association in the Middle East by providing local, regional and international talents a platform to excel in their chosen sport through the implementation of a talent detection system, development of grass root level junior programs, building of new facilities and conducting a national competition schedule with a national tennis ranking featuring national, international singles and team competitions.
MISSION:
TENNIS EMIRATES aim is to achieve an active membership data base of 10,000 by 2011; more than 1,000 participants on the national tennis ranking by 2010 and 40 national events, national championships and masters events annually.
Secondly, TENNIS EMIRATES will open three national training centers in Abu Dhabi and/or Dubai to linked to local schools and local sports clubs to introduce a link between school tennis and afternoon tennis activities
Finally, TENNIS EMIRATES is committed to bring tennis back into every Emirate of the UAE by creating a national association representation in 2009 in Abu Dhabi and in 2010 in Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah.
