Threadneedle Dubai Gold Cup 2010
Threadneedle Dubai Gold Cup is the premier polo competition of the year played at the stunning Dubai Polo Club grounds on the outskirts of Dubai. Starting on 6th March the final will be played on 12th March 2010 after a knock out round of matches lasting all week.The Gold Cup will be played at the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, Arabian Ranches. Set in beautiful grounds, surrounded by palm trees and green lawns, the Gold Cup provides a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. An oasis of calm and tranquility awaits visitors in the Spanish style clubhouse. With numerous bars and restaurants to chose from, children’s playground and ample parking, nothing could be more trouble free than a day at the polo.
The Gold Cup is a 10-12 goal ’open’ tournament.

It is the premier international polo competition of the year, attracting the best players from around the world to compete for this prestigious Gold Cup. It is the first and most illustrious edition of its kind in Dubai.
Under the banner of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), the Gold Cup is being played according to HPA rules and the provision of umpires will be managed under strict international supervision by the HPA.
