Dubai International Horse Fair (DIHF) 2010
The Dubai International Horse Fair (DIHF) 2010 will be held from 18 – 20 March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 5 & 6. With a growth in net exhibition space of over 250% since its inauguration three years ago, DIHF has established itself as the region’s largest exhibition for equestrian equipment, services and care products. Over the years, the exhibition has introduced several new features and has evolved into the essential platform for everybody in the equestrian related business, such as distributors, veterinarians, riders, horse owners and breeders, grooms, etc.This development is in line with the huge growth of the Equestrian Market in the Middle East. New equestrian projects are being developed, driven by the rapid 5% annual growth in population and further propelled by the region’s heritage as a culture of horse-lovers.
DIHF is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibition will once again be complimented by the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC), a competition for pure-bred Arabian Horses.

Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities, attracting talent from around the globe. Its strategic geographic location between Europe and Asia, a tax-free environment and the government’s strong support of market-diversification has made Dubai one of the biggest re-exporting hubs worldwide.
This environment makes DIHF an ideal event for the equestrian trade from around the world to showcase their products and services, increase brand awareness and meet with potential customers from the Middle East, Turkey, Iran, Africa, the MENA region and the Indian Subcontinent.
Inaugurated in 2005, DIHF has quickly shown its strength in the equestrian field and has experienced a 250% increase in exhibition space within three years. The 2009 event attracted over 150 exhibitors from 37 countries and 8,041 visitors from 61 countries, including trade, royalty, VIPs and the public.
To further heighten the uniqueness of the event, additional features have been included such as a riding/show jumping arena, a Veterinarian Networking Session, an international equine art gallery, a horse auction and much more.
Held alongside DIHF is the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC) - a competition displaying the beauty, agility and heritage of purebred Arabian. The Championship, which is one of the richest of its kind in the world since His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced the increase of the prize money to USD 4 million for DIAHC 2008. The Championship attracts the largest gathering of royalty, and enjoys the participation of some of the world’s finest purebred Arabian horses.
