UAE Financial Market News
31 August 2010. UAE stocks drifted down on low volumes as usual. On the Nasdaq Dubai, DP World fell 1.0%, Damas was unchanged, DGS rose 0.49%, and Depa rose 3.8%.Dubai Financial Market
Dubai stocks fell 0.46% to 1484 points from trading worth AED 45m with Emaar Properties (EMAAR) the only stock trading more than AED 10m worth, down 0.61% to 3.26 from AED 17m. Arabtec (ARTC) was the worst of the more active losers, down 1.2%.
Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) fell 1.1%, and the other losers were down less than 1% or on thin trading. Only two gainers saw turnover of more than AED 1m - Gulf Finance House (GFH) and Ajman Islamic Bank (AJMANBANK) - both up less than 1%.
Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange
Abu Dhabi stocks were almost unchanged, with the index dropping marginally by 0.03% to 2498.5 points from trading worth AED 57m. Aldar Properties (ALDAR) was the most active stock, down 1.3% to 2.23 from AED 17m.
Sorouh Real Estate (SOROUH) fell 0.63%, and there were only 4 other stocks that traded more than AED 1m worth - First Gulf Bank (FGB), Emirates Telecom (ETISALAT), Dana Gas (DANA), and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) - all closing flat from yesterday.
