Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of the region’s premier exhibition for jewellery and precious timepieces, presents Dubai International Jewellery Week.
Based in Dubai’s celebrated "City of Gold", Dubai International Jewellery Week reflects one of the world’s most dynamic markets for luxury goods. It provides the perfect platform for global and regional manufacturers to meet buyers from the Gulf, North Africa, India and beyond. In the last year alone, gold jewellery and diamond sales in the region have risen by 15% and a staggering 47%, respectively. The city itself accounts for 14% of world jewellery sales.
Important show events:
· The show opening ceremony is at 4.30 pm, Thursday 7th of October
· The winner of the Dubai World Trade Centre’s jewellery design competition will be announced at a ceremony at 8pm, Thursday 7th of October
· Gemological Institute of America (GIA) are running free Diamond Discovery Workshops throughout the show for people to learn more about diamonds – see the schedule here
