Al Habtoor & ISG Student Challenge
The Habtoor & ISG Student Challenge is an opportunity for the region’s best design students to show off their outstanding talent. The students, coming from a host of the region’s leading Universities, not only have their design ideas and pieces on display, but are also working together to complete a design objective each day live on the show floor. Whilst working on their creations, show visitors are welcome to join the students to share design ideas and experience.

INDEX 2010 - 20TH ANNIVERSARY UNVEILS 20 WOW-FACTOR DESIGN INNOVATIONS
Twenty stunning head-turning products, which range from breathtaking to thought-provoking furniture and fittings from a range of the world’s most cutting-edge designers, will grace INDEX at the Dubai World Trade Centre during the four-day show.
The Contemporary Majlis Competition at INDEX 2010
INDEX 2010 is delighted to be hosting the 2nd Contemporary Majlis Competition at the INDEX Design Show, taking place from the 8th – 11th November at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The majlis is traditionally the heart of any Arabic home, the welcoming room where families meet and socialise with friends. With a new younger generation now designing their own homes, the majlis is evolving into a space that combines tradition along with contemporary and cutting edge design.
INDEX has appointed 4 leading UAE designers to create their vision of what the new majlis means to them when tasked with designing these important spaces.
Design Talks
The INDEX Design Talk seminar programme is packed with a great variety of presenters and topics selected from all corners of the industry.
Sustainable Design
Sustainability is not just a trend! INDEX recognises and promotes sustainable design by providing a platform to showcase furniture/products which are practical, have multiple usages, are recyclable and yet do not compromise on design.
LuSSi Design from Italy will showcase furniture made with eco-friendly materials aimed at minimizing the environmental impact. The use of corrugated cardboard not only leads to tangible economic benefit but gives a significant contribution to one of the most pressing problems of our society: waste disposal!
Public Opening
INDEX & InRetail are trade shows, allowing free admission at any time for professional and trade visitors upon completing a registration form and presenting a relevant business card.
Non-trade professionals will also have the opportunity to visit INDEX during public opening hours on Wednesday 10th November from 16:00 onwards and on Thursday 11th November the full day.
Tickets will be available on the door for AED50 per person.
Children
Under no circumstances will children under the age of 18 be admitted in the exhibition.
