AED 20.427 Billion Value Of Financial Transactions In Q3 Of 2011, UAE Central Bank
Central Bank of the UAE has announced that statistics of the UAESWITCH for 3rd quarter of 2011 have shown a slight decrease in number and value of financial transactions, carried-out electronically through the UAESWITCH.The total number of financial transactions has decreased to 18.231 million financial transactions in the said quarter, compared to 19.007 million transactions in the 2nd quarter of 2011, i.e. a decrease of 4.08%.
Also, the total value of financial transactions decreased to AED 20.427 billion in the 3rd quarter of 2011, compared to AED 20.983 billion in the 2nd quarter of 2011, i.e. a decrease of 2.65%.
As for the total number and value of financial transactions carried-out through connection of the UAESWITCH to the GCC Switches, the total number of such financial transactions increased to 940 thousand transactions in the 3rd quarter of 2011, compared to 818 thousand transactions in the 2nd quarter of 2011, i.e. an increase of 14.91%.
The total value of the financial transactions, also, increased to AED 1.237 billion in the 3rd quarter of 2011, compared to AED 1.104 billion in the 2nd quarter of 2011, i.e. an increase of 12.05%.
