Dubai Government Human Resources Department
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department’s vision is based on establishing a distinguished and leading national role for the management, development and governance of human resources for the government sector. Its mission lies in developing and implementing an integrated strategy for government human resources, setting up governance frameworks and updating human resources systems and practices in public institutions.The department, which was established under Decree no. 31 of 2009 issued by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is tasked with directing the efforts for updating government human resources and ensuring coherence between human resources programmes and initiatives and the emirate’s strategic objectives and priorities in line with Dubai Strategic Plan 2015. Its work involves management and support of human resources at the strategic level by developing the legal and organizational structure of government human resources, updating human resources practices and leading and planning the processes of building national capabilities.
