Dubai Land Department web site receives over 2 million visitors
The Dubai Land Department achieved a new milestone in terms of visitors of its website as it records 2,334,770 visitors to its website in 2013 as the website traffic surged by 700% compared to 2012. In last year, the website welcomed 319109 visitors. According to the data analysis of visitors of the Department’s website, visitors from foreign countries accounted for 60% of total visitors while the other 40% were from Arab countries. This new record comes in line with Government of Dubai new initiative to transfer Dubai into Smart City.Sultan Butti bin Mejren, the Director-General of the Land Department described the results as outstanding and that it shows the great progress made by the Department in the employment of modern technologies and online services to better serve our client. He noted that the Department is keen to provide smart services in line with Emirate’s initiative in this field in order to enhance Dubai’s international competitiveness.
He said that the number of visits to LD’s website continue to grow as more users prefer electronic services offered by the LD via its website or through other applications designed for smart phones and tablets.
Bin Mejren noted that the magnitude of LD’s work and services require ongoing updates of its website daily and to review and evaluate its electronic services to meet the client requirements and to ensure provision of premium governmental services in accordance with Dubai ambitions.
