Mohammed bin Rashid opens government services exhibition
Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the exhibition of future government services in Dubai on the eve of the launch of the 2nd session of the Government Summit 2014. As many as 3500 delegates and government representatives from 50 countries along with the world’s most respected government and business leaders, decision makers, executives and experts will gather for the The Government Summit, the only and largest global platform dedicated to the improvement and enhancement of government services and related opportunities. This year, the Summit will be held from 10 to 12 February in Dubai under the theme ’Leading Government Services’. Sheikh Mohammed said: "The future holds great technological transformations that we aspire to cope with. The UAE government will seek to build partnership and integration with the private sector to make a different life for communities. We will also provide an integrated environment in the UAE government to experience every new product in the world of technology and innovation." During his tour of the exhibition, Sheikh Mohammed, who was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was informed by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Government Summit, about the displays in the exhibition, the first of its kind in the world to present an unparalleled future vision for the next ten years on delivery of government services in sectors like airports, health, state-of-the art learning simulators and future smart cities. The exhibition assembles the world’s most smart researchers and designers from 18 countries who envisage how the most ambitious governments in the world can harness advanced technology to provide their citizens with the most convenient services. The three day exhibition highlights six interactive systems including among them international travel, home care health, experience based learning, smart cities, delivery of government services via visual and automated transformation and artificial intelligence that spur visitors to imagine future trends of government services.
