UAE Government Leaders Programme
The UAE Government Leaders Programme in the Prime Minister Office announced the launch of "Creative Leadership" as a new category under the programme targeting talented young UAE Nationals in federal and local government entities as well as the private sector, in line with the government’s sustained efforts to create an attractive environment for talents to develop and help national human resources shape their skills in accordance with the UAE Vision 2021."The addition of the new category follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to support and nurture national talents, and build their leadership capabilities," stressed Ohood Al Roumi, Director General of the Prime Minister Office.
The new category aims to prepare qualified young UAE Nationals, currently working in the government and private sectors, by providing them systematic training on their actual work location, added Al Roumi.
In order to qualify for the programme, candidates must a UAE citizen with a university degree or equivalent from a recognized university and must be aged between 22 and 28 years. They must also have 2-5 years of work experience, be proficient in Arabic and English, said Obaid Al Ketbi, Director of UAE Government Leaders Programme.
The new category will focus mainly on leadership development, strategic planning, communication and decision-making, project management and creativity. The duration of the first batch of the programme will be from June 2014 to November 2015, added Al Ketbi.
