Dubai’s RTA offers taxis via e-hail service Careem
All taxis in Dubai will soon be available through the Careem app under a new agreement between the e-hail taxi company and the Roads and Transport Authority. RTA signed the agreement with Careem Networks Company making all its 9,841 taxis and 4,700 limousines available on Careem app. According to Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors at RTA, the initiative will provide more options and added convenience to e-hail users.
Undertaking this initiative stems from RTA’s keenness to carry out the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to transform Dubai into the world’s smartest city, bring happiness to people, deliver excellent services to tourists and enhance customers experience, Al Tayer said.
Mudassir Sheikha, Founder and Managing Director of Careem, welcomed the cooperation and partnership with the RTA and said that the agreement would enhance Careem’s presence in Dubai market through offering integrated transport solutions enabling clients safe and reliable mobility options.
