3 Quick Getaways You Can Take From Dubai

Dubai is an intriguing and mysterious place when viewed from afar. The image that many of us in the West have of Dubai, is of a place that is both a luxurious tourist hotspot, and also a deeply conservative and religious society whose values often clash heavily with our own. There is no denying it, Dubai is a land of contradictions.

But not only is Dubai itself a popular holiday resort, it is also perfectly situated to act as a hub from which to explore the Middle East. Here are some of the most exciting and enriching trips and days out that you can experience by taking just a short trip from Dubai. These quick getaways will give you a chance to undertake a whirlwind tour that would make any traveler jealous.

Al Ain

This tranquil oasis is to be found in the southern part of the UAE. While it is located in the middle of the desert, it is also full of lush, thriving greenery. The water to supply all this life comes from nearby natural hot springs. Venture far enough and you will come to Al Ain, the Garden City. Among the other flora, fauna, and jaw-dropping scenery, the standout features here are the natural spring water pools, its relatively cool weather, and its luscious, renowned green palm groves.

Jebel Hafeet

While you're in Al Ain you might as well check out Jebel Hafeet. This majestic mountain towers over the Garden City, giving large areas a degree of much needed shade. This is the perfect excursion for those who prefer mountainous terrain to green forests.

The rust-red rocks, topped with a dusting of sand, can at times look like a Martian landscape. That is until you take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Jabel Hafeet offers some truly stunning views. The scenery here is in sharp contrast to much of the rest of the UAE.

Lonavala

Lonavala is one of the UAE's hidden gems, although it is gaining popularity. This means that Lonavala still remains a relatively remote area free of the usual tourist trappings, but with all the essential infrastructure in place to ensure that a stay here is comfortable and convenient.

Among the popular sites to be found in Lonavala is Tiger's Leap. This popular tourist spot offers some exceptional views of the surrounding area which are bound to leave even the most experienced traveler standing in awe. When you book Lonavala hotels, you are booking a hotel in an unbeatable location. Just as Dubai acts as a hub for the Middle East, so does Lonavala act as a central landmark with a variety of breathtaking natural sights to be seen.

Dubai is a great place to take a vacation. Despite the country remaining a religious and conservative society, they embrace tourism and are more than happy to show foreigners what their culture is all about. While in Dubai you will be perfectly positioned to take advantage of a number of nearby things to see and do.
