Oasis Center Mall
Landmark Group has re-launched the Dh900mn Oasis Center mall on 28th March 2009. The original Oasis Center was burnt into ashes a few years ago, caught in an accidental fire. Thereafter, plans were made for resurrection of the mall. The iconic mall for the group, Oasis Center, spreads across a land area of 1.44mn square feet, with a retail space under one million square feet. The four-storey mall includes 77 stores, with major brand names such as Max, Centrepoint, Home – a new edition to the company’s profile, Q Home Décor and Carrefour Express, Fitness First for women, and other fashion and dining outlets. The mall is also hoped to house EMax, the largest electronic store in the country. Landmark Group has a prominent regional presence with 11 million square feet of retail space, and an annual turnover of $2.5bn. The company includes a workforce of 25000 and operates total of 850 stores in India and in GCC. The company saw a 32 percent growth in June last year, although this year, it is expected to slow down to 20 percent. The group will also be investing in a mall in Alexandria, Egypt this year. The other projects underway for the group in UAE are the Bawadi Mall, Mirdiff City Center, Delma Mall, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and other ventures in Saudi Arabia.
