Dubai Marina Yacht Club
Dubai Marina Yacht Club is the port authority for all operations and berthing in the Dubai Marina canal, a 3.5 kilometre manmade waterway running through the prestigious Dubai Marina residential development and the centre of ‘new’ Dubai. Continually expanding, the first of four marinas, East Marina, was completed in summer 2007, with the second, Yacht Club Marina, on target for mid-2008. These will be joined by a further two marinas to ultimately host up to 600 yachts ranging from 5-35 metres in length. Currently hosting around 220 permanent pontoon berths and swing moorings dotted attractively throughout the canal, Dubai Marina Yacht Club has added to its portfolio with the prestigious Dubai Marina Yacht Club clubhouse: a striking purpose-built venue for entertaining social groups and business colleagues; the majority of the Club is fully accessible by the public. Dedicated private members areas include a library and chart room, billiard and cigar lounge, and intimate lounge. Fully licensed restaurants are open to all. Built facing its own 116-berth private marina, the ground floor opens out through a waterfront café onto a public boulevard called Marina Walk, which encircles the canal. Hosting a string of yacht brokerage boutiques and marine lifestyle outlets, Dubai Marina Yacht Club will undoubtedly become the new centre of lifestyle yachting in Dubai.
