The Ibn Battuta Gate hotel opens on October 1st is located adjacent to Dubai’s themed shopping mall Ibn Battuta, the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel is a modern interpretation of oriental elegance, accessible through a magnificent 60-metre high Moroccan style gate. This fabulous new business property is run by Movenpick. Rooms & Amenities Each of the spacious 396 hotel rooms are beautifully furnished in the colours and styles of Moroccan influence, while all of the suites are themed on the Africa, Asian, Middle Eastern and southern European countries visited by 14th century Arabian adventurer Ibn Battuta. A five-star property steeped in the magic of the mystical past, Ibn Battuta Gate also enjoys three floors dedicated to the business traveller with separate welcome receptions and lounge areas. Restaurants In celebration of the life of Ibn Battuta, the greatest Arab traveller in history, the focus is on truly creative gastronomy representing the lands he visited on his travels. The Mediterranean restaurant features all-day dining and a show kitchen, while the Indian restaurant offers the exotic flavours of northern India. The Italian speciality outlet is always a firm favourite and the selection would not be complete without Ibn Battuta’s favourite, the Chinese restaurant.
