UAE Government launches programme to help entities implement Government Excellence System
The UAE Government has launched a programme to train government employees to implement the fourth generation of the government excellence system in the UAE and abroad. The newly launched programme is the only one of its kind approved for training as it supports federal and local authorities in their efforts to implement the system. The programme consists of an integrated system for the training and accreditation of experts, consultants, and judges for the excellence awards, all under the aegis of the fourth generation of the government excellence system, including its applications, evaluation mechanisms, and methodologies.
Maryam Al Hammadi, Assistant Director General for Government Performance at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and Future, said, "The training programme is a holistic approach for preparing the national workforce to implement the government excellence system, which is the only programme of its kind approved by the government, and reflecting its plans to improve the work of government departments."
"The programme represents another important step forward in the ambitious journey to develop government performance," Al Hammadi continued, adding, "This serves the objectives of the fourth generation of the government excellence system, which seeks to achieve the highest levels of happiness and global leadership for the UAE."
Al Hammadi explained that the programme will be implemented in cooperation with a number of research and academic institutions, including the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, MBRSG, the Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University, and other national and international institutions.
