Lewis Hamilton takes his training very seriously, proving the point that within every top race driver there is a true athlete. To be at the top of his game, Lewis has a very precise training regime that builds specific muscles that are crucial for his sport. He shared details of his training program and a provided a closer look into the athlete within the driver. With Reebok SmoothFit technology, Lewis has been going through a vigorous training regime.

Here is just a sample of what Lewis has gone through in the four months leading to 2009 season:
-165 HOURS OF TRAINING
- MORE THAN 60 TRAINING SESSIONS: The equivalent of training non-stop 24 hours a day for an entire week
-450 KMS OF RUNNING: The equivalent of running just under six laps of each of the 17 race tracks in the 2009/10 season

Therefore, continuous training has to be done, which involves long runs and muscle specific exercises. Without taking a break after the previous season, I ran 450 kilometers before the start of the new season. With Reebok’s SmoothFit, I could train for longer without the risk of blistering or irritation, it feels completely different to any training gear I have used before.”

“The preparations start from the beginning of the year which is how you build yourself up. It is very tough to keep fit throughout the season. Now, almost at the end of the season and I still feel extremely fit. This gives me the confidence and I know that I can do a great job, thanks to Reebok,” he continued.

Commenting on the visit, Mark Greiner, Sales and Marketing Manager, R.B.K Middle East, said: “Lewis is one-of-a-kind, a true challenger and this perfectly reflects the spirit of the Reebok brand.
