Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) today announced it has received ISO-27001:2005 certification for implementing global standards for the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) at the high-tech business park.
TÜV SÜD Management Services GmbH of Germany, a leading international service organization catering to the strategic business segments industry, mobility and people, awarded the certification after stringent quality inspections at Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), which has successfully ensured world-class quality systems within its premises.
ISMS is a systematic approach to managing and ensuring the security of critical information and data. It provides a set of standards for the types of security controls that an organization should implement to recognize and address security risks by establishing controlled procedures, policies, and best practices including data capture, transfer, access and storage.
Commenting on this occasion, Abdulsalam Al Bastaki, Director of IT and Services at DSOA, said: “Quality remains the watchword for DSO and we consider Information Security Management Systems as a priority area that is vital to safeguarding key data.
