Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has introduced a waterless car wash service for all employees at the ENOC Complex. Offered at a minimal charge, the service will be offered at the office parking spaces, and aims to strengthen the participation of the company’s staff in environment-friendly initiatives.
Offered by ENOC/EPPCO Automotive Services Unit, the new initiative helps staff protect the environment with the use of eco-friendly biodegradable chemicals instead of harmful detergents.
Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC Group Chief Executive, said: “The initiative highlights our commitment to promote general awareness about sustainable practices that assure a safer, cleaner and “greener” environment for generations to come.”
The waterless car wash system can save up to 200 liters of water per manual car wash. The concept saves water and prevents detergents from polluting the environment with its new Bio Wash technique, an all-in-one eco-friendly car wash liquid.
Bio Wash is made from seventeen major active ingredients including Kaolin Clay, a natural non-abrasive surface preparation, and Carnauba Wax, a high quality wax and sealant. Applied as a fine mist, the all-natural formula softens, emulsifies and encapsulates dirt and other contaminants. The liquid is then gently removed by wiping the area with a soft terry towel, without any damage to the surface. This process leaves a fine film of polish and wax behind, which is then buffed with micro fiber cloth to produce a rich, non-static, long lasting glow and an all-weather protective coating.
ENOC is a strong contributor to environmental protection and interacts with international conservation agencies to update its knowledge and practices. The group has a wide range of eco-friendly products and services including green engine oils, very low-sulfur diesel, and fuel-saving devices. ENOC also uses only biodegradable plastic bags at all its convenience stores.
