(5 July 2011)
Latest Additions Keep True To Authentic Turkish Cuisine

Discover the best modern Turkish flavours that Dubai has to offer as Ottomans at Grosvenor House Dubai introduces an intriguing new menu by inventive Chef Mehmet Koyuncu.

The new menu, pays tribute to the authentic cuisine developed over millennia, while emphasising healthier options. Replete with a multitude of modern dishes bursting with the diverse flavours of Turkey the menu is guaranteed to be as intriguing as the ornately and majestically decorated venue, and is sure to be the centre-piece of a truly unforgettable dining experience.

“We are delighted by the new menu at Ottomans which showcases the culinary talents of Chef Mehmet Koyuncu. The newly introduced mouth-watering dishes, from the mezzes to the desserts all truly embody the spirit of Ottomans: opulent, majestic and most importantly, authentic.” said Marco Torasso, Executive Chef of Grosvenor House Dubai.

Chef Mehmet Koyuncu added: “After much hard work, I am pleased to introduce the new menu at Ottomans. Turkish cuisine is diverse and has a rich culinary tradition. The new menu pays tribute to this tradition with a modern twist, with special attention given to ensure healthier options.”

Why not allow your palate to embark on this adventurous culinary tradition with ‘zeytin yagli enginar’, a tantalizing artichoke gently cooked in olive oil, lemon juice, vegetables and dill leaves, as the first stop?

For your main course, try the ‘hunkar begendi’, a wonderful dish comprised of thin-sliced tenderloin in a rich tomato sauce with a deliciously smoky roasted eggplant puree. Alternatively, but equally delicious, you can opt for the ‘osmanli izgara tabagi’ which is a delight medley of grilled meats including lamb chop, Anatolian kebab, rib eye and chicken, served with an aromatic vegetable rice.

For dessert, try the decadent ‘kabak tatlisi’ made from sweet pumpkin, tahina and honey sauce, served with Turkish ice cream.

Located on the lobby level of Grosvenor House Dubai, Ottomans is open from 19:30 – 01:00 from Tuesday to Sunday. For restaurant reservations please call: +9714 3176000.
