Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH), one of the largest private hospitals in Dubai catering to the tertiary health care needs of the Middle East, was recognized by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority for their efforts to spread awareness on various health issues in the UAE. Mr. Khalid Al Arif, Executive Director, Standards and Regulation, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority on behalf of His Excellency Mohammed A. Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority presented Dr. Hayder Al Zubaidy, CEO of CSH with a certificate of recognition for participating in ‘Your Health-Key to Your Creativity’ during his visit to the hospital’s Deira branch.
The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority also presented the hospital staff with Certificates of Appreciation for their work with public and private sector institutes to further health-related causes. CSH had organized several health awareness campaigns in the past year, including one in collaboration with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Dubai Airport for all their employees that took place last month, as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
“The numerous campaigns organized by CSH are carried out in order to create awareness around some of the serious and fast growing health concerns in the UAE, such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and hypertension, and because we at CSH feel it is part of our mission to contribute towards a better and healthier UAE. The initiative undertaken with the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority is a part of CSH’s periodical health drives with various corporate organizations, and we would like to encourage other organizations to come forward and undertake similar programmes that educate their employees as well as the general public”, said Dr. Hayder Al Zubaidy of Canadian Hospital.
“We are extremely appreciative and thankful to Canadian Hospital for their outstanding efforts in spreading awareness of health issues in the UAE, and particularly for participating and helping us organize ‘Your Health-Key to Your Creativity’ for our employees at the Dubai Airport. This activity reinforces our commitment to social initiatives that benefit our people”, said Mr. Khalid Al Arif.
Sugar and blood pressure, hypertension, cholesterol, vision and dental check-ups were all part of the health test conducted for more than 150 employees at the Dubai Airport.
