Liquor supplier Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail launched on December 20 an exclusive limited edition of its Cointreau bottle with Dubai Duty Free, marking the retailer’s 28th anniversary.
Cointreau Midnight in Dubai is an amber-gold interpretation of the square-shaped bottle featuring a black label adorned with a constellation of diamond stars. The limited-edition bottle contains the classic Cointreau orange liqueur and was designed as a collector’s item.
DDF executive vice-chairman Colm McLoughlin said: “Dubai Duty Free is delighted to receive this special and limited-edition Midnight in Dubai Cointreau as part of our 28th anniversary celebrations. It is an honour to be the first retailer to be named on the label and we always like to be associated with being first. Our thanks to the Rémy Cointreau GTR team for initiating this world first and we look forward to continuing our long and successful partnership.”
"Cointreau is delighted to celebrate DDF’s 28th anniversary by offering it the exclusivity of launching this innovative limited-edition Midnight in Dubai,” added Rémy Cointreau managing director liqueurs and spirits Justin Weston. “It is the first time since the creation of Cointreau in 1849 that a retailer’s name is mentioned on its label. We believe that this illustrates Cointreau’s commitment to accompany Dubai Duty Free in its continuous development as the biggest single airport retailer in the world."
Rémy Cointreau GTR area director travel-retail South Europe, Middle East and Indian subcontinent Valéry Méry concluded: "Dubai Duty Free is of strategic importance to Rémy Cointreau GTR. It is a major shop window that gives excellent exposure for our premium brands portfolio to more than 50m passengers who pass through the airport annually.” |
