The Dubai Concert Committee today announced that the incredibly talented pianist, Veronika Ilinskaya is set to showcase her impeccable skills on 5 December 2012 at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre at the Mall of the Emirates (DUCTAC).
The performance by Veronika Ilinskaya is organised by The Dubai Concert Committee - established in 1996 under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum - with support from the Russian Business Council in Dubai, UAE.
The Consul General of Russia in Dubai, Gocha Levanovich Buachidze is scheduled to be in attendance and will provide a keynote address prior to the concert.
Ms. Ilinskaya will perform works by classical music masters: Johann Sebastian Bach, Ferruccio Busoni, Frederic Chopin, Bernard Stevens, Alexander Scriabin, Brad Mehldau and Franz Schubert.
Brigitta Dagostin, Chairperson, Dubai Concert Committee, said: “Having Ms. Ilinskaya showcase her outstanding pianist skills for the people of Dubai will certainly evoke awe and enthusiasm. Her graceful and precise technique has earned her several accolades and admiration amongst the global classical music community. She is the recipient of the Corporation of London, Tovey Memorial and Baltic Piano Scholarships, as well as the winner of numerous competitions such as the Marlow Festival Competition and the top prizewinner at both the Oxford and Watford Music Festivals in the UK. In addition, she is globally renowned as one of the most engaging ambassadors of classical music and is in fact a Steinway Artist – a sponsorship provided by the illustrious Steinway & Sons company.”
Steinway & Sons only sponsors the absolute best artists in the world. The company understands that producing a great piano requires the same qualities as producing a great pianist: time, patience, skill and dedication. Without a great artist, a great piano would remain silent.
The Russian prodigy made her first appearance as a soloist with orchestra at the age of 10 and won the Russian Music Competition at the Moscow Conservatoire a year later.
Her exceptional talent earned her an invitation to study at the Guildhall School of Music in London, United Kingdom on a full scholarship with Professor Joan Havill – two accomplishments that are extremely hard to attain.
Currently preparing for her PhD at the University of Southampton in UK despite her young age, Veronika has already produced her first record with Landor Records.
Furthermore, the Russian Business Council, in appreciation for the efforts put forth by the Dubai Concert Committee will present the organisation with an award for promoting Russian culture across the region, prior to the concert on 5 December 2012.
Sponsors for the Dubai Concert Committee include: Emirates Airlines, Mont Blanc, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Airports, Airbus, Pullman Dubai Mall of the Emirates, RAK Bank, Deutsche Bank, and more.
Until 7:50pm, admissions are restricted to invitation holders and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on how to obtain invitations to attend performances, please visit: http://www.dubaiconcertcommittee.com/htm/Mailing-List.htm.
