RTA Briefs Dubai Municipality On Media, Marketing And Community Initiatives Strategy

The Roads and Transport Authority RTA has recently received a delegation from the Dubai Municipality to acquaint them with RTA best practices in the fields of marketing, corporate media and public relations.

The step comes in the context of the Dubai Government’s drive to share expertise and knowledge amongst local departments towards identifying the best means of realizing the vision of nurturing inter-corporate communication capable of achieving the strategic objectives of an integrated government drive in the UAE as a whole, or the Dubai Emirate in particular.

At the outset of the meeting, Ms. Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication at the RTA, welcomed the Municipality’s delegation and expressed her delight with the visit as it adds to the benefit of both parties, noting that Dubai Municipality is one of the strategic partners of the RTA. Then a visual presentation was made highlighting RTA’s organizational chart, mission and vision, and focusing on RTA’s Marketing & Corporate Communication Department covering performance indicators, and media, advertising and promotion plans in addition to community-oriented initiatives in terms of the number of initiatives undertaken and the high rate of achieving targets. A review was also made for the roles of Public Relations, Sponsorship & Events Sections and how the RTA is keen to promote its corporate identity in all media and advertising deliverables.

“The RTA has a huge practice in the field of marketing & corporate communication in view of the massive volume of jobs and tasks handled, and the multitude sectors and agencies comprised; which resulted in developing high-class media and marketing plans compatible with its organizational structure as well as its vision, mission and objectives,” added Al Marri.

A rich discussion then followed about some aspects of the visual presentation and replies were made to questions and queries raised by the visiting delegation. Discussions shed light on the detailed mechanism of RTA’s business process in the field of corporate media, marketing, promotion, advertising and others. The delegation praised the fruitful visit and expressed keenness on stepping up cooperation and exchanging of knowledge about relevant fields in future meetings.
