The students, faculty members and visiting professors from UK universities were warmly greeted by BUiD's Vice Chancellor Professor Abdullah Alshamsi who stressed the importance of interaction between academics and students for the exchange of knowledge and ideas. He said that such events and conferences provide a perfect opportunity for facilitating this exchange.

BUiD Dean of Research, Prof Ashly Pinnington, said, 'This Conference provides an excellent opportunity for our students to showcase their research and share their findings with postgraduate students from other universities from the UAE and UK. Participating in specialist doctoral conferences is important for refining high-level skills and gaining more experience in presenting and discussing scientific research.

At the end of the conference, students' presentations were assessed by a committee of academics from BUiD. Six students received Best Paper Awards, which were given by Professor Alshamsi and Professor Pinnington.
