Millennium Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East commits to employ 4,000 new colleagues by 2018

Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East and Africa region has announced plans to employ 4,000 colleagues by 2018, with a focus on hiring nationals from the GCC. As one of the Middle East's fastest growing companies, Millennium Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East has an exciting future on the horizon. With a total of ten new openings within the next year, the Group has opened their doors for continued high employment and immense scope for development continuing to work towards their long-term goal of positioning themselves as a leading hotel group with a various hospitality option to accommodate all types of traveller.

With properties confirmed for Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey and Oman, the next 12 months will involve the employment of 4,000 colleagues across the ten hotels. The brand has confirmed they will be searching for 400 Managers and Executives as well as 600 Supervisors, allowing national talent the opportunity to apply and join Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East region.

According to Anis Fares, Director Human Resources, Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East and Africa, the Group priority will be to promote from within, investing in internal talents and enabling career development within the company to meet the requirements in our new Hotel openings. In addition to sourcing internally, the Group has also invested in recruitment services such as applicant tracking systems, as well as, using social sourcing to facilitate a professional, effective and efficient recruitment process, ensuring a strong employer branding throughout the region.

Kevork Deldelian, Chief Operating Officer at Millennium Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East, said that they will continue to work closely with government entities to support employment "particularly as we continue to expand into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman". He continues; "It is vital that we demonstrate that the hospitality industry is a viable career option above other industries by investing in training and developing our talent. The perception of the hotel industry as a career is changing amongst GCC nationals as hotel groups are seeking ways to attract and retain national talent. The Group invests in its colleagues to ensure they undergo extensive training and development so they have the tools to deliver the highest service standards to guests."
