Dubai Duty Free Announces Two New Millionaires and Luxury Vehicle Winners

Two new millionaires were announced at the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw held today, 31st October in Concourse B Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.

Dream came true for Mr. Yasunobu Yamada, a 47-year old Japanese national from Fukuoka, Japan as his ticket number 2024 was drawn in Series 255. Mr. Yamada is the second Japanese to have won in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion. Mr. Yamada who works as a Manager for JTB Kyushu bought five tickets for Series 255 on his way to Germany for a business trip.

“It was my second trip to Dubai and I couldn’t be happier that my second visit has made me a millionaire! Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful news!”

Another lucky ticket holder who will be claiming US$1 million in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw is Mr. Santosh Vijayan, a 50-year old Dubai-based Indian national who won in Series 256 with ticket number 3826. Mr. Vijayan, a father of two has been living in Dubai for 27 years and works as an Operations Manager for the Abu Dhabi branch of Al Faris Group. Mr. Vijayan is a regular participant to Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion.

“I’ll be turning 51 on November 11 and winning US$1 million is the best early birthday gift anyone could ever wish for. Thank you Dubai Duty Free, you had made my day!”

When asked about his plans on his winnings, he said, “My children education is the top priority while I might look for some good investments too.”

Two winners of luxury vehicles were also announced in the Finest Surprise Promotion directly after the Millennium Millionaire.

The highlight of the day was the draw for a Quantum Silver Aston Martin Rapide, with ticket no. 0206 in Series no. 1665 won by Osman Khar, a British national based in Abu Dhabi.

Another winner was Dileep Sasi, a 42-year old Indian in Dubai who won a BMW R Nine T Racer motorbike in Series 318 with ticket no. 0301. Mr. Sasi has been living in Dubai for 11 years, a father of two and works for Dubai Airports.

Present at today’s Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw was Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Ramesh Cidambi, COO, Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice President – Corporate Services, Nic Bruwer, Executive Vice President – Commercial, Sean Staunton, Senior Vice President – Retail Sales and Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President – Retail Support.
