With 200 international places to dine, The Dubai Mall is your passport to a world of flavour. This Dubai Food Festival (DFF), visitors can indulge in a wide range of exclusive menu specials, food discounts and interactive in-store workshops, from cooking classes and pastry making, to learning the art of coffee- brewing from the experts.
Here’s a summary of what guests can experience this DFF, only at The Dubai Mall:
Eataly are keeping little hands busy, with interactive cooking classes. Limited to 15 participants, kids aged 5-12 years old can don aprons and try their hand at making chocolate cupcakes on February 24th at 11am. In addition, throughout DFF, kids can whip together their own taste of Italy and make their own pizza with Eataly’s chef for just AED 37.
The highly anticipated opening of Pret a Manger’s second Dubai location at The Dubai Mall will be met with huge fanfare. To celebrate their opening on February 22nd, the brand will be launching a social media campaign with the chance to win vouchers. Also celebrating their second post in Dubai is Mighty Quinn’s, who will be hosting their official launch party on February 24th from 6pm-9:30pm featuring guest host Kris Fade, and live entertainment from Abri & Funk Radius.
Birthday celebrants during DFF can have a unique Amazonian experience at Rainforest Café with a special DFF Birthday package for AED 199, which includes food & drink, games, activities, goodie bags and a special mascot appearance. In addition, throughout DFF from 10am-12noon and 4pm-5pm, kids can participate in a special pizza-making workshop complete with kitchen tour for just AED 60.
A 17-day biryani festival is being hosted by Spice Bowl, where a brand new, exciting biryani dish will be launched every day throughout DFF. From Goan fish to chettinadu chicken, there’s a biryani to suit every palate, exploring all parts of India. Spice Bowl is also offering 15 per cent off their dine-in menu from 9-11am and 8pm-12midnight.
Adults can test their cooking skills too, with Ladurée’s ‘One Sweet Day at Ladurée’ pastry workshop on February 26th at 11:00am. For just AED 50 per person, guests can learn to construct some of the French luxury bakery’s classic desserts, under the expert guidance of Chef Mathilde Gehanne Boumesla.
Diners at the brand-new Wagamama can enter the ‘Wagamama’s biggest fan contest’ during DFF by posting their favourite in-restaurant photos or videos online for a chance to win 12 coupons for free katsu curry, and tag @wagamamauae, #katsucurry and #wagamamauae.
Coffee connoisseurs can learn the art of coffee at % Arabica who will be hosting a ‘Latte Art’ workshop, and teaching guests the basics of brewing on February 26th from 9am to 11am. They’re also giving away a free coffee for every bag of coffee beans purchases on February 25th only, from 9am-5am. Meanwhile, Walter’s Coffee Roastery will take visitors behind the scenes, lending insights into 3rd wave brewing techniques from their specially designed coffee crafting lab every Sunday and Wednesday from 2pm-4pm. Coffee drinkers can also save 10% on all coffees at Walter’s during DFF.
Young cooks can join KidZania® Dubai’s search for the greatest Mini Chef, in a culinary showdown open to kidZ aged between 6-14 years old with a passion for food. The Mini Chef competition will teach and assess participants on kitchen organisation, food safety, creative plating and delicious flavours, giving them practical skills as well as a chance to win some fantastic prizes and win the ultimate Mini Chef title! Registration for the competition is open until March 3.
This DFF, one lucky winner will also get the chance to win a AED 10,000 shopping spree in Emaar Gift Cards. All you need to do is dine to be eligible to win. To enter, simply download The Dubai Mall App and scan all eligible receipts for food-related purchases between February 22nd and March 10th to enter the draw. The winner will be announced on March 11th, and the winner must present his or her original receipts to win the AED 10,000 prize.
