Visa (NYSE:V), the world leader in digital payments, hosted an industry-wide discussion on how the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) travel industry can adapt to the evolving needs of the modern traveler. Taking place at the Arabian Travel Market 2018, the panel follows Visa’s unveiling of the GCC-related findings of its Global Travel Intentions Study earlier this week.
Hospitality giant Jumeirah Group and Tajawal, the Dubai-based online travel startup, along with Visa offered their insights into the macro trends and challenges facing the payments, hospitality and travel booking sectors. Additionally, the panelists shared their thoughts on what they believe will be the key business focus on each of the sectors in the upcoming years, to adapt to the needs of the evolving regional traveler.
