DEWA signs MoU with Microsoft at World Government Summit (8 February 2016)
The MoU was signed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Samer Abu Ltaif, Regional General Manager, Microsoft Gulf, during the first day of the World Government Summit, which is held from 8-10 February under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
DEWA to promote cooperation with Siemens Group (8 February 2016)
Al Tayer welcomed the Siemens delegation and commended existing cooperation between DEWA and Siemens. He noted that Siemens is a long term strategic partner for over 30 years, especially in energy projects and solutions.

"The plan encompasses beefing up the fleet of hybrid taxicabs in Dubai from 147 in 2015 to 791 taxicabs by 2016, 1582 taxicabs by 2017, 2375 taxicabs by 2018, 3167 taxicabs by 2019, 3959 taxicabs by 2020, and to further increase the number to 4750 hybrid taxicabs by 2021.
