Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov at the UAE’s Ministry of Defence Lounge in the International Defence Exhibition Conference (IDEX 2017). Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the meeting. Deputy PM Azimov conveyed the regards and wishes of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE Vice President and people of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed and his guest exchanged views on ways to strengthen the friendship and co-operation between the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the best interest of both countries.

Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Lt. General Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Ali,  Director General of Dubai Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman and the delegation accompanying the Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister attended the meeting.
