Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum posted a stamp issued by his father the late Sheikh Rashid 50 years ago, celebrating space sciences.
 
Sheikh Mohammed indicated that the stamp was issued during the beginning of space exploration phase which was a dream for the UAE to join this effort and today the dream became reality as the country became one of the world’s leader in space industry.
 
Commenting on the stamp, Sheikh Mohammed said: “A stamp issued by my father Sheikh Rashid 50 years ago, celebrating space sciences. We dreamed of such future ideas”.
 
His Highness added: “Today we have a Dhs20 billion space sector, with a mission to Mars driven by a wholly Emirati team of scientists. Dreams begin with ideas, a word, an image or even a postage stamp. As generations work to fulfill our dreams, we develop concrete realities”.
