The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has celebrated with its employees the Labor Day, which is observed on 1 May. To this effect, RTA held an event attended by 100 workers deployed in various RTA’s projects & services such as cleaning, security, and maintenance fields among others. The celebration that was held in Al Wasl Auditorium at RTA’s Head Office, turned into a Dream Night dotted by a thriller movie, snacks & juices, freebies and purchase vouchers. All these added much joy & fun to attending workers.

Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication at RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector said: “RTA’s celebration of the International Labor Day is in the context of its recognition of the huge efforts of workers performing their duties in perfect manner, and their dedicated contribution to RTA’s drive. These categories are worthy of recognition & acclamation as they play an immense role in making our life easier. Obviously, they also contribute directly or indirectly to the current development boom enjoyed by the UAE, in general and Dubai, in particular.

“Our celebrations of Labor Day stem out of RTA’s unwavering commitment to bring happiness to workers through organizing such cinema-themed events, gifts, offering juices & snacks to entertain workers in a cinema-like atmosphere to relieve them of work pressures. It was gratifying to feel the exhilaration and elation on the faces of attending workers, and it was great for us to be socializing with a segment that deserves all respect and celebration,” added Al Marri.
