The Outlet Village To Exhibit 100 Artworks By UAE Students To Celebrate Year Of Zayed
(7 March 2018)
Six-day exhibition featuring works of Zayed Painting Contest winners to mark 100th birth anniversary of founding father of the UAE

The Outlet Village, Dubai's indoor shopping and leisure destination by Meraas, has partnered with the Zayed Painting Contest to celebrate the timeless legacy of the founding father of the UAE, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and mark the 100th anniversary of his birth.

The contest has challenged students aged 9 to 12 years from 100 schools across the UAE to create art inspired by the life, guiding values and vision of Sheikh Zayed. From 25 to 30 March, The Outlet Village will exhibit the best artwork from each school, before a panel of judges picks the overall winner. Children who were not able to participate through their school will also have the chance to take part at the contest by completing and submitting their painting at The Outlet Village during the exhibition period.

During the six-day event, the destination will invite visitors to contribute to the great Wall of Zayed face mosaic. Guided by the creative team behind the contest, participants can demonstrate their artistic talent on a 5inch x 5inch drawing board. All tiles will be arranged together on the wall to ultimately reveal the face of Sheikh Zayed. The unique artwork honouring the founding father of the UAE will remain on display throughout the exhibition.
