HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed HE Vipul, Consul General of India in Dubai. Marwan Bin Haider, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future, and Khawla Al Mehairi, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Government Communications at DEWA, were also present.

Al Tayer welcomed the Consul General, stressing DEWA’s intention to consolidate cooperation and joint work with all diplomatic and consular missions in the UAE. He emphasised the importance of promoting cooperation and establishing partnerships with Indian companies in all areas related to energy.

Al Tayer talked about DEWA’s projects and initiatives and its programmes to diversify the energy mix, especially renewable and clean energy projects. These support the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to provide 75% of Dubai’s total power output from clean sources.

For his part, the Indian Consul commended the efforts of the Authority, praising the facilities offered to the Indian companies operating in Dubai, expressing his country's desire for the Commission's projects and fruitful cooperation with them.
